Preview mesh not set for retargeting

On some imports, the preview mesh of the imported skeleton is not set. This makes the following animation retargetings fail as the preview mesh is required. The workaround is to manually “apply” the “temporary preview mesh” before doing the animation retargetings. This is not intuitive.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. import the attached FBX (enable import options: “Skeletal mesh”, “Import mesh”, “Import animations”, leave “Skeleton” to none - select “Import All”);
  2. if you try to retarget the animation “Start_Swiging” it will fails
  3. if you open the skeleton “Start_Swinging_Skeleton” and look at the “Preview Scene Settings” panel you’ll see that the the preview mesh - while apparently “set” - have a button “Apply To” next to it. Pressing it solve the issue.
