Splatmaps and Terrain errors

Hi,

So after you apply your splat to the terrain and want to manually paint some additions to the terrain, firstly it paints an entire quad and secondly you have to go over the entire terrain with your seperate layers until black marks are remove, which removes the point of using splat maps.

One final thing, anyway to speed to up Lightmass when baking terrains? I do use importance volumes and settings are set at preview. I’m trying out a 4KM terrain but this will eventually hang around 24K.

The terrain painting (turning black) is a known issue and is currently being investigated. For baking terrains, the only way to speed up lightmass is to tweak the values in the importance volume until it gets a desirable result, there aren’t currently any other methods that assist with this as far as I am aware.
