Anim instance is broke after changing skeletal mesh

hello, I’m on 4.17.2
I’ve noticed a bug and just wanted to report it.

I have a skeletal mesh component inside of a pawn BP with an animation BP assigned to it.
If I change the skeletal mesh to another that doesn’t have the same skeleton, and also change the animation BP assigned to it, the engine doesn’t play that animation in game (In the editor).
I have to delete this skeletal mesh and create a brand new one in order to make everything work fine.

It’s just a slight bug, although I hope the report will help.

Hello , I’m sorry but In the meanwhile I past on 4.18, and I didn’t try it on this version. Although I can reproduce it in 4.17 in a blank project and send it to you soon.
