Screenshot Bug in VR

in the previous versions of the engine i could use the console command HighResShot 3840x2160 if i pressed one of the oculus touch buttons and i a screenshot from the view i was seeing while pressing the button, but in 4.18 i only get the view from the camera position from the start of the game like that

thats of course not what i saw in the hmd and on screen :confused:

does anyone what changed and how i can work around that bug (if it is one)?

Our project is about 100GBโ€ฆ Anyway, I made a VR project from template, run it, opened console and typed: HighResShot 3840x2160. And Unreal crushedโ€ฆ

Thank you for reporting this issue. I was able to reproduce it in Engine Version 4.18. However, this issue has been fixed in an internal build. As for the editor crashing: this seems to be a result of the size of the screenshots. I suggest using a smaller size for taking screenshots.

Hello, I have a similar issue, however, instead of taking the screenshot of the initial camera position, it takes a screenshot with the camera offset to my floor position set in the oculus (so 4โ€™6 lower than eye height in my setup, it also appears to be a different FOV). I am in 4.18.2, released before this was answered, so it sounds as if it will be fixed in the next update, however, I wanted to add the extra information just in case.

is a sample project. Taking a screenshot is clicking in while pushing the right touch controller thumbstick down.
