Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Cannot reopen project

Hi, This is my problem: regardless of what project I create, I cannot reopen it after closing. Let me elaborate: alt text

You can see 2 projects in my library, the rolling ball and third person, both c++. Both compiled and got to play around. Now let's open one of them: alt text

First error message. Clicking yes. Recompiling, and then another message with game code couldn't be compiled. Continue trying to start anyway? Sure. The game module 'MyProject' could not be found . Please ensure that this module exists and that it is compiled. Followed by a crash and the Unreal Crash Reporter window.

Please advise?

1 answer: sort voted first

Okay, so after doing some digging it seems it had something to do with my user account name - unreal or VS don't like special characters in the account name (an "ă " in my case)

Problem solved, cheers.
