Everytime I go to install a version of UE4 since 4.10, my computer BSODs upon trying to launch the main menu. I have a 1080ti, a i7-4770k @3.5ghz, 32gb of ram and a 760 watt power source. I want to upgrade to 4.18. Has anyone else ever had this problem?
edit: also as far as I can tell all drivers are up to date
I had BSOD while working in UE. It turned out that I had bad ram sticks (4x8gb). It took me about a month to figure that out, as it is was happening only once in a while, like 0-2 times a week. At the end I run memtest86 (https://www.memtest86.com/) and it showed after some tests that that I have errors in ram. After extensive tests I found which sticks were bad. I changed them and no problem since then.
