Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to set up Muffled or Occluded Audio?

So how do I make the audio coming from a TV sound muffled when I am outside a building and when I walk inside its unmuffled and clear? I know ue4 has an audio occlude feature but I know nothing about it or how to set it up, could someone walk me through the process, please provide screenshots as I am a visual learner. I cant find any tutorials on Youtube covering this

That doesn't help me at all lol, I am not an Audio Programmer and was hoping there would be a step by step tutorial on how this is done

You don't need to be an audio programmer to follow that previous post. Essentially it's a checkbox and a few settings on the sound attenuation asset.

Do you know how to use the sound attenuation asset?

Here's somebody using sound attenuation with television media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC8pK3mAFJE

More involved tutorial on sound attenuation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm04M5m-VKE

More involved documentation: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Audio/DistanceModelAttenuation/ https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Audio/Overview/index.html#soundattenuation

In summary, the steps are:

1) Enable occlusion in a sound attenuation asset or in an override 2) Play a 3d sound with that sound attenuation asset
