Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Custom Vector Field creation in maya

Hi,

I have been trying to create a vector field for a GPU particle system. I followed this tutorial: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Creating_Vector_Fields_(Tutorial) to create my fluid container("4. Finally we need to enable the display of velocity vectors so we can see the data we want to export to UE4. In the Display section of the fluid container, check the Velocity Draw checkbox."). After that I wanted to try and use my own particle system in Maya. I made my fluid simulation from my particle system(just a straight line) like this. alt text

I had to disable gravity(which got rid of the velocity draw arrows) or else it would look like this:alt text

Export settings(using the unreal plugin for maya):alt text

Either way, in unreal engine I had trouble using the vector field. So how do I properly make a vector field?
