Custom Vector Field creation in maya
I have been trying to create a vector field for a GPU particle system. I followed this tutorial: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Creating_Vector_Fields_(Tutorial) to create my fluid container("4. Finally we need to enable the display of velocity vectors so we can see the data we want to export to UE4. In the Display section of the fluid container, check the Velocity Draw checkbox."). After that I wanted to try and use my own particle system in Maya. I made my fluid simulation from my particle system(just a straight line) like this.
I had to disable gravity(which got rid of the velocity draw arrows) or else it would look like this:

Either way, in unreal engine I had trouble using the vector field. So how do I properly make a vector field?
