Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How do I add animation to a mesh in UE 4.18.0?

Not sure what section to post this in, so if a different section would be better then please let me know!!

Okay so.... I'm following a tutorial for a class, and I get to the last step, and it has me utterly confused. link text

I'm uploading the pdf of the tutorial (I hope it works) so I can try to make this as clear as possible. Yes it is school work, but I'm not asking for any scripting or anything to be done. I just need help finding an option that I don't see.

So, following the tutorial, I click on the "class defaults" button. (Highlighted in in the screenshot) alt text

Then, I search for "animation", but it doesn't give me any results. alt text

After that, I try following the "alternate" route of the tutorial, and try adding animation through the Use Animation Blueprint setup. However, it says I'm supposed to select the mesh (It's SK_Mannequin, a basic skeletal mesh included in the starter animation kit in UE4)

However, when I use the drop-down menu to find it, there's 12 options, and none of them seem right. alt text

Am I missing something? Am I just being blind and unable to see what I need to do this? How do I add animation to the skeletal mesh?

As Anim Class select:

UE4ASP_Hero_TPP_Anim_Blueprint

It will work.
