Engine Content folder - License?

Hey there.
I know that the Editor is property of Unreal and us is forbidden to share the editor or part of it without a special license.
I know as well that the Unreal mannequin (the asset) that comes with the temples (e.g. character in shooter template) is property of unreal and we are not allowed to distribute it outside of unreals dev environment.

But I’m wondering about the Engine Content folder that can be made visible in the editor using the view options. Can we use Assets/Code from this folder? I could not find anything that tells about this folder directly.

In my case I would like to use the EngineContent/VREditor/Device/Vive assets. Still I would prefer a general statement regarding the Engine Content folder.

Engine Content folder content has the same license scope and limitations as the engine generally under the EULA.

I had a read through the EULA but it is chore fore me to read such stuff especially as english is not my native tongue.

The only thing I could find that seems related in the EULA is:

1 a. Distribution to end users - You may Distribute the Licensed Technology incorporated in object code format only as an inseparable part of a Product to end users who are subject to an end user license agreement which explicitly disclaims any representations, warranties, conditions, and liabilities related to the Licensed Technology. The Product may not contain any Paid Content Distributed in uncooked source format or any Engine Tools.

As far as I understand it: As long as I package the game before distribution to End Users apart from unreals development environment, it is allowed to use content out of the Engine Content folder?

That however gets me confused in terms of the Unreal mannequin.

As you said in that thread it is not allowed to distribute the mannequin outsite of unreals development network. Did you only say ‘no’ in that thread as he would distribute the mannequin as Asset/Mesh and it is allowed to distribute the mannequin in packaged game?

I believe that was in reference to a separate distribution - as in not baked into a project.
