Revenue share for in-app purchases of non digital content

Hey Guys,

this is purely hypothetical but some potential clients asked me about this so i would like to know more.

If you make a product wit Unreal Engine that offers in-App purchases of real life thinks, lets say an amazon product viewer or a car configurator with an purchase option are these sales still require to share revenue?

And Does it make a difference if instead of in-app they forward you to their website for the purchase?

Generally that’s excluded in every case. The official language is pasted below (to show what specifically is excluded from royalty). In that case, it would apply regardless of whether purchased in-app or not.

 6.  Revenue from ancillary products which are not software and which do not contain embedded information (such as QR codes) which affects the operation of the Product (e.g., comic books, soundtracks, apparel);

Oh thanks man, i read that part before but didn’t understand it. Now i do.

Much appreciated
