Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hello Holychant,

I have been unable to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?

  2. If so, could you provide a more detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?

  3. Could you provide screen shots of any settings/blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

My team is also experiencing this same issue. No projects are involved in creating this crash. After pressing launch for 18.1 in the Epic Games Launcher in order to setup a new project, the engine will crash. I can also confirm that it always happens at 79%.

Opening the engine and our 18.1 VR project on computers that do not have SteamVR installed has no issues.

Crash only happens on computers that have SteamVR installed for use with HTC Vive.

As Graeme_Crackers says.

You can not run the engine with steamvr installed.

I can not make a clean project

The problem only appears in version 4.18.1.

Works fine in previous versions

I confirm issue. Issue is preventing us from running 4.18 because it happens each time we run engine.
