Importing huge meshes, with different textures.

Hello!

I’m having quite some trouble importing a pretty big house into UE4. The thing is, the house has multiple textures on it, and importing all the objects, and then rebuilding the house would be extremely inefficient. And importing everything in one group would be annoying aswell, since i would like to keep all the meshes seperated. Any advice on how to speed up this process?

Maybe try to export all the house in one FBX/OBJ and on importing in UE4, uncheck “Combine mesh”, so you keep all meshes separated. And no, in the engine, select all the meshes parts then grab and drop it on your scene, so all the parts keep placing at the same position than is was in Blender but they are still separated. Hope you will understand. Good luck on your project.

Thanks for the tips, but theres still one problem left. When i import the .fbx into unreal engine 4, it always freezes on one mesh (number 152). The rest loads fine, so is this a problem with that specific mesh, or is the file too big?

Hmm I don’t know well on this issue, I never imported huge fills on UE4 and never had a problem with file size. Sorry.
