I created a new material and added connector descriptions but it doesnt show up as tooltip as expected.

Thank you for your report. I was able to reproduce this issue in Rocket Beta 6, but it has since been resolved in our main branch. This fix will be implemented in a future release of the editor. Please let us know if you encounter any more unexpected behavior.
