Foliage on an angle doesnt work

Hi!!
I cant place foliage on angle (mountain)
I turned on the allign to normal
Set mac angle to 180
Ground slope angle to 180
Checked static mesh and BSP
But my folliage doesnt pain on an angle.
Please help

From my personal experience there’s only 3 things that can cause the issue your experiencing

Number 3 is most likely

1: Check and make sure that the landscape filter is checked.

2: I know you already said you set this but Double check your ground slope angle settings and make sure they are correct (0.0min - 180.0max)

3: Check and make sure your max height isn’t too low. If the area your trying to paint is higher than the max height value it won’t work.

Quite an old post, so you hopefully managed to solve your issue. I wanted to leave a reply for any future people who might be in the same boat as me.

After checking all of the above, I still had issues with the foliage…turned out my normals were inside out. This post explains how to fix it in unreal:

if you are importing from another 3D engine (I were importing my model from Rhino) it is worth fixing the issue in the original model before importing.
