I’m currently unable to complete the installation process for the Epic Games launcher.
Here is the sequence of events that has led to my confusion.
I wanted to use Unreal Engine 4, so I went on the website to download it. After making an Epic Games account, I clicked the download button for the Epic games launcher. I went to my downloads folder and double clicked the installer for the launcher. Starting the installation gave me this message: “The folder path to ‘Unreal Engine Stuff’ contains an invalid character”. Then the installation process was canceled. I imagined that I may have downloaded the launcher previously, thereby explaining the existence of the unprofessional file name “Unreal Engine Stuff”. So I looked for the file but couldn’t find it anywhere. I then went to the control panel and found the program “Unreal Engine Launcher”. I tried to uninstall it but I was again given the message “The folder path to ‘Unreal Engine Stuff’ contains an invalid character”. At this point I have no idea what to do. I don’t no the location of these files and I don’t know if I can change the location to where the launcher is installed in.
Any help to explain why this is happening and how I can fix it would be appreciated.
