Are textures included on ue4?

Hello, I’m quite a newbie on ue4 and I’m focusing on materials and textures.

Now, my question is: Are textures already included on ue4? ( I’m using a Mac ) If so, where do I find them? If there aren’t any, where do I make them?

Thanks guys

While creating your project you can import the starter content, which gives you some premade epic materials and textures. If you want even more textures or materials you can go into the marketplace and maybe find some textures or materials.

To make textures you need some extern tools, like photoshop, mudbox, substance, quixel suite or some tools.

I hope this might help you

Thank you !!!

now, can I use this textures for a game I would release ( like 100% legal ) ?

Those are created by epic and should be free to use, but I am not sure because I never released a game.

can confirm that any content that comes with ue4, as well as anything from the learning tab, and anything purchased from the marketplace can be used in your ue4 movie/game/etc and be sold.
keep in mind to read the eula to know what to do after you release your game.

I’ve discovered an package on the marketplace called open world demo collection. it is free. Can I use it for a commercial game ?

yes, as long as its in an ue4 game/movie. keep in mind that this content was made for ultra high end computers for a realtime showcase video, depending on your computer it might take hours to load some of the assets.
