First person player scale

I’m curious about the approaches of others with regards to player scale when using first person view.

As default the character bounding capsule and field of view exceed that of a real human. As a result I have seen that there are recommended sizes of something like 110x210 uu for doorways.

So my question is, if you were trying to make something representing real life architecture, would you generally enlarge everything in line with a default first person blueprint, or adjust the capsule and view to something approximating a real human and use accurate real world dimensions for your architectural geometry?
