Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Howdy Stackazzii,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Would you be able share your DXdiag and your log Editor log files on the issue? Any additional information about the crash would be greatly appreciated (ex: Have you had UE4 previous to this crash,...). This will help us with investigating the issue.

Your log files can be found here: Windows: C:\Users\USER.NAME\AppData\Local\UnrealEngineLauncher\Saved\Logs

Thanks and have a great day!

Hey Stickazzii,

Just a couple more questions that could help diagnose the issue. Have you been able to use the Editor prior to the 4.3 update? Also, have you attempted to uninstall and then re-install UE4?

Here are a few workarounds that may be helpful: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Troubleshooting_Launcher_Problems

Never been able to use the editer in any versions. And I tried to re-install.

Thank you, Sean Gribbin for fast answers and being helpful! :) Have a nice day!

Hey Stickazzii,

In order to use the Launcher and properly access UE4, you must have created a paid subscription account on UnrealEngine.com. Once you have this, you can download the Launcher from your account page, which once installed will then download and install the UE4Editor.

We can only offer installation & setup support for users accessing the editor from the Launcher or from our GitHub repository.

Have a good day!
