Rope between skeletal mesh sockets
Hi all, i am currently working on a horse and rider system. I am using 2 main rigs, 1 for the horse and 1 for the rider. Since the models are changeble to other version like: adult-child, i want to create a system that draws the reins between the rider and the horse so they are always correct.
I thought of doing this using the skeltal mesh sockets. But is there a way to draw a rope between sockets from 2 different rigs? To clearify: I have a socket in the hands of the charracter rig, and a socket on the horses head. I want to draw a rope between them to simulate the reins, i also want to control how tight the reins are hold with some kind of sitffness modifier.
I have a solution to fix this by modeling, rigging and antimating the reins for each diffrent set of horse and rider, but since i have alot of variable options this is not a time wise solution, so thats why i am looking for a more procedural solution.
Hopefully some wizzard can point me in the right direction.
Regards in advance, Emile
Ps. this is the socket system i was looking to use: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Content/Types/SkeletalMeshes/Sockets/
