Why does my FBX import say "Object has Overlapping UVs"?
I am having trouble with importing simple objects from 3ds max into UE4. Below are the images of what I made in 3ds max. They are just 3 cylinders which I exported using the FBX format with smoothing groups checked. I imported it into UE4 and built the lighting when an error came up. Its saying that their are overlapping UVs. I haven't done anything in 3ds max and I am still new to UE4. If you could tell me what is happening and how I can fix the problem that would be very much appreciated.
Also, it isn't because the meshes are in contact with each other because I tried one with each cylinder spread apart.
You will have to create a 2nd uv channel + proper lightmap for your meshes:
