How to break destructible meshes only under certain conditions

Currently Ive got some basic barrels in my game that break in chunks instantaneously when touched by anything. Any tips to make it break only when hit with a strong amount of force. My character swings a sword and rolls. I kinda wanna try to fix it with blueprint cause their is a bp version of it meant to drop items. Any method should suffice though as the item spawns upon destruction of the mesh.

You can set up damage force/strength need to break destructible and/or use Damage Type.
Also you can check - add damage or not. If hit actor is barrel - apply radial impulse - if not - do not apply. It will be break it and only barrel.
