Animation Notify sound cues don't work when override attenuation is on

I’m putting some sounds in the notifies panel in the animation window & some cues does’t work when into the cue I “check on” override attenuation, if I “check off” override attenuation then the sound work perfect. Any idea why?

I’ve taken a look at the issue and am unable to reproduce this. Were you able to get this to reproduce in a clean project? Also, would it be possible to get a repro/sample project from you in which you are experiencing this issue? This will allow me to take a look at the settings you have enabled, etc.

Hi Ridley, sorry for the late and thanks for your interest.
I thought the problem is on animation notify but that´s not the problem.
I make a new empty proyect, first person and insert a sound in a sound cue, press play and it works perfect, but when I check on override attenuation I have diferent issues:
1.: If I´m inside the radius of the attenuation distance, it works but when I go out from the radius the
sound stop (that´s ok) and go back inside again, the sound doesn´t play anymore.
2.: If I´m not inside the radius at the beguining, the sound never work.
I´ve tried with different waves and always the same.
I don´t know if I´m missing something.

Hi,

Thank you for the sample project. I was able to see the results in your project as well as reproduce it in an empty one. I’ve gone ahead and bugged the issue, which you can keep track of here in our public tracker. It looks like there is a fairly simple workaround as well. If you open up the cue and set the wav to Looping, this will cause the sound to play again upon entering the falloff distance. If you have any other questions regarding the issue above, feel free to reopen this thread.

Setting a sound file to looping in the Cue results in the sound no longer playing in 4.21.1. This must be a bug because I never experienced this in older versions.

I am using UE 4.25.3 and I am having this problem.

If I use any looping WAV or CUE (in CUE I just use Wave Player and Output nodes for testing) as an Anim Notify sound I am not able to hear sound when previewing animation or inside the editor playing.

As soon as I untick “looping” in either WAV settings or in CUE Wave Player options I am able to hear sounds normally.

I am using some looping excavator sound for my current project and it looks I will have to use full length sounds for all the rest of my animations until this problem is solved.
