Text Render Component performance issues
I have a blueprint with a Text Render Component. There are thousands of these BPs in my scene. They are causing massive frame drops, and nothing I do seems to help. They also cause a massive hitch when streamed in, even if there's only 100 or so in the map.
They are used as labels. You change the text via an exposed variable when you place the BP in the scene.
I'm in UE 4.11.2. For reasons I can't update to a newer version. Does anyone know how I can optimize text render components? Or a better way to have editable text. They don't change at runtime.
