Crash when trying to import 3dsmax/FBX

Hi all,

I am attempting to import an FBX file into unreal that was made in 3dsmax. However it imports everything just fine until it gets to #1640 of 1700+ and just crashes. No crash report or anything. My unreal just freezes. It hangs up on that step every time I’ve tried to import.

Hello Aerozure VR,

I believe this is occurring because of an error with the original file itself. Attempts on my end to open this file caused errors in both 3dsmax and Maya. This could mean that there is an issue with how the file is exporting or the original mesh itself.

I followed the step by step editing.
UWMap, then Steamroller then export smooth out geometries. Anything else ? to avoid another crash?
