DerivedDataCache is too slow when accessing

Hello everyone,

I just upgraded a project from UE4.18.1 to UE4.18.2 because we needed the fix to the issue below.

UE-53126 Unknown by landscape material warning logspam when launching onto Android/HTML5/iOS/tvOS

However, while the issue does seem to have been resolved by the hotfix, I became unable to cook the project.

The process doesn’t fail, but I get the following warning

LogDerivedDataCache: Warning: C:/Windows/system32/config/systemprofile/AppData/Local/UnrealEngine/Common/DerivedDataCache is very slow (0.02MB/s) when accessing C:/Windows/system32/config/systemprofile/AppData/Local/UnrealEngine/Common/DerivedDataCache/5/8/3/MATSM_24CFB3A24FF7412DB1277B5C2B5936DE_PCD3D_SM5_7__BC5N_NOCCBN_DEV_SL_VRIS_NO__C5EE8D625F24D11FF607F31CC7599182262A14DD.udd, consider disabling it.

about 3-4 times(with speed values varying from 0.01MB/s up to 0.06Mb/s) and the process gets stuck there for all eternity. (Well, the longest I waited for was about 2 hours, but close enough).

Any ideas as to what could be causing the slow down? or how should I go about improving the accessing speed?

I would really appreciate any advice on how to get the cooking process unstuck.
