Name cleared during rename if existing name exists

G’day,

More of an annoyance then a bug, hence the prefix.

When you go to rename anything, a handy message will appear telling you if the name you chose already exists.

Unfortunately, this results in the name being cleared.

eg. If you have a asset called ‘Wizard’ and add another asset and try to rename it to ‘WizardAlt’, as you enter the letter ‘A’, the name will be cleared.

I’ve got into the habit of spamming asdf when I go to rename something if its target name is similar to an existing one.

Anyone else getting this? (Beta5 & Beta6)

This is being looked into apparently and is fixed on Epic’s end (Thank God)

This bug report is for beta 6. It won’t be fixed for you until there is a new beta available.

As James and Luke have said, this is a known issue that has already been fixed on our internal build and should not be an issue in future Rocket releases.
