Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Animating vehicle in sequencer

I make an animation showing a racetrack and I need to animate cars driving around it. How would I approach simple animations of the cars with turning wheels? I have the whole environment and camera setup but have no idea how to setup the wheels movement of the cars. Is there a way of animating it inside UE4 if I have the car rigged or should I animate it inside my DCC and somehow import the animation?

1 answer: sort voted first

Hey there, if the way they run the racetrack is always the same and in a loop per lap then i would say that making an animation in a dcc program is not a bad idea. If you dont want to do that you can try hooking the cars to splines and use a transform modify bone for each wheel to make them rotate to the movement direction.
