Widget Blueprint Anchor percentages not scaling correctly

While using the Widget Blueprint I found that when moving the anchor point it would display percentages from the borders of the screen. Which is fine but if you zoom out it will not properly move the personages from being covered by the icon.

I have seen on a tutorial where the numbers would move based on their viewpoint
This is what it should look like

Hello,

I have a couple of questions about the issue you are experiencing.

  1. Can you provide the link to the tutorial where you are seeing this result?
  2. Is the link you provided the only one where you have seen this displayed result?
  3. If not, could you provide other links?

Thanks!

  1. I can’t provide a link to the tutorial because it is part of a Udemy course so you will have to pay for it

  2. Yes it is the only one I have reference too, I have not looked at other tutorials covering UI

Hello again,

Thank you for submitting a bug report, however, at this time we believe that the issue you are describing is not actually a bug with the Unreal Engine, When you move the anchor it keeps the widget the same relative offset, if they scaled up, they’d block everything. I believe the tutorial you are viewing may be using something on their end to modify those settings, possibly using a 3rd party plugin. You may want to reach out to them for further information.

Thanks,

I’m not really sure how this isn’t a bug. It makes the anchoring tool basically impossible to use unless you zoom in a bunch.

I am having the same issue. This is pretty frustrating as as you said it makes it impossible to do anything without being extremely zoomed in. I am following the same tutorial and am about to ask there.
