Montage Plays in Place

Some days ago I have posted a question in which I asked to help with my forward jumping animation. I have made my forward jumping animation with Root Motion, then assigned it to Animation Montage, and I play that montage every time when my character jumps forward. But now I have noticed that my animation plays in place. My character doesn’t move forward when I am playing the montage. How can I make it play the original animation ? (Sorry for my bad English)

Hey there, if you’ve setup the Root Motion in your dcc program then in unreal all you need to do is to make sure the enable Root Motion option is checked and your Animation Blueprint has at least the option Root Motion from Montages only set as the default Root Motion mode.

I have the Root Motion enabled option checked, and my Animation Blueprint has the Root Motion From Montages only as the default Root Motion mode. But it plays my montage in place, as it shows me in the animation with root motion enabled. I want it to play not in place.

When you preview the animation (not the montage) itself does he use root motion?
