How to setup an easy to drive vehicle?

Hi, I would like to know how to setup a vehicle for a mario kart like ? (easy to drive with lots of maniability).
With no drift, with a really good inertie, acceleration etc

Thank you !

I saw it but I dont understand … I’m french and its difficult to understand all things in this video. But he doesnt explain for a mario kart like with nice maniabilty and inertie…

I would suggest to check out this video series about the vehicle setup:

And then it will be all about playtesting I would suggest. :)

ah ok, pas de probleme
The workflow will be the same, but you need different numbers in some settings.

Just try to build a functionable car. When this works then try to get the mario cart feeling. Try to adjust one part of it after another. When i worked on a vehicle it was the same. Most of the time it is just testing out the numbers and adjusting them afterwards. I had the feeling that it is dependent on so many factors that there is no “the one right setting” it is dependent on so many factors.

Just start with a car that can drive and work from that point on

My car is working. I have my wheeled vehicle BP, my 2 class of wheel (front and back), but I dont find the acceleration, the maniabilty and inertie. I try to modify some things but I dont get there… :frowning:

I think the inertia can be set in the wheel BP, I have worked with vehicles a long time ago, so I may be wrong. Check out this video here (and the following in the series) there everything is shown.
most of it is set within blueprint scripting.

I know it’s in english, but you could also just watch him do stuff and apply it to your setup.

Have you seen this?

I watched the video, the acceleration is quite better, but I dont get a good arcade vehicle for a mario kart like. This is so difficult to turn, this is so realistic … I dont know how to do :frowning:

Yeah but he doesnt show anything on ue4 .This is difficutl to understand for me

I’ll watch it

Here is a timelapse, so this should help you

I watched the video and another too. I saw they did it with a pawn and not a vehicle blueprint class !
