Pre Loaded Levels for Seamless Transitions?

Hi All,

I have a question regarding pre-loaded levels.

I have 2 scenes. They are basically the same but with minor geometry changes, materials and lighting tweaks. Essentially I’m just showing different scenarios for the same level. I want the user/player to be able to switch between these seamlessly and quickly if they want to.

I’ve noticed that the level lighting scenarios option looks a bit clunky when it loads in, giving that popping effect. So I was wondering what the most efficient method achieve this would be. It’s for VR so I don’t want to kill the performance, is there was a way to have everything loaded at the start but only the main level visible, then switch or fade between them? Or is lighting scenarios still the best method?

Yes you can see: Level Streaming | Unreal Engine Documentation

hope this helps.
