Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Spawn Problem (Solved)

Okay so I have a problem. I'm not completely sure why it is happening and I need your help please. When I create a Player Start and I press Play it don't seem to want to spawn on that Player Start... it spawns on the middle axis of the map.

1 answer: sort voted first

Hey there, is the Player Start well placed and not saying bad size? It seems that he fails spawning on the player start and decided to spawn in the 0,0,0 of the world.

Hey thanks for helping. I noticed it did say bad size at 1st but that seemed to have vanished when I moved and resized it but it still won't spawn where the Player Start is placed.

It says bad size when you placed it in a location that overlaps other actors, so once you move it to a clear place it goes away. Are you manually setting the character's position on begin play or something like that? Did you override any of the game mode's functions relative to spawning? Try deleting that player start and adding another to see if it helps.

The game I am currently trying to design is a golf game and I have been following this tutorial https://youtu.be/ItTQzO4coq4 so yeah I override the gamemode to a Pawn.
