Play a video on BSP

Hi, I’d like to know if it’s possible to play a video on a BSP. I tried but I only can make it work on a Static Mesh. It also doesn’t seem to work on a Static Mesh created from a BSP.

On the left is what I got when I used the video material on a BSP and on the right the same on a Static Mesh. On the BSP is only a white vertical line. Is it supposed to be that way or is a kind of bug?

I was able to repro the issue, but haven’t been able to figure out what is going on yet. It can be mitigated somewhat by adjusting the surface properties - specifically the scaling.

I suggest that you use static meshes for now.

It turns out that you need to set the desired Layout mode of the BSP surface. To change this, select the BSP surface by clicking on it, then go to the Details Panel and find the Layout drop-down box. Setting it to “Fit”, for example, will render the video like on static meshes.
