So I just bought Visual Assist, and I’m having a strange bug. While Visual Assist is activated, I cannot type a left Parenthesis “(” That character does not get typed at all. Also, I got the message “Visual Assist cannot edit the active document.” the first time I tried to type a left parenthesis. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? What setting could possibly cause this?

Hey there, i don’t use Visual Assist, but maybe it could be a keybind that VA uses as a shortcut for some reason. Is that the only character that doesnt work?
You appear to be suffering from a known bug in the way Unreal Editor opens files in Visual Studio when those files are hosted on a network share.
You should have received a message from Visual Assist explaining that it cannot edit the file and requesting that you reopen it from within Visual Studio, i.e. File | Open. That is what you should do.
