Mass doesn't seem to affect "spring like" constraints

Hi guys,
After I unsuccessfully searched for an answer I decided to try here:

I setup a constraint to mimic a spring and that works fine - the stone moves up and down as it would be attached the a spring and eventually comes to a stop.
However if I increase the mass either by using the mass scale or a physic material the spring behaves exactly the same while I would expect that for a much heavier stone, the spring would stretch more and the stone would go lower down.

So basically it seems that the mass has no effect on the spring constrain which I’m pretty sure it’s just me that didn’t setup it the simulation correctly.

Btw I asked the same thing on the forum but I guess this was actually the right place to ask.

Thank you,

Hi Adrian,

Once a Physics Constraint is applied it overrides the mass and density. You will need to adjust the Linear Limits for each type of object you want to constrain.

Thanks TJ,
I’ll give it a try,

Hi Adrian: Mind to share the parameters of physics constraint of your spring? I tried a lot but with no luck to make a spring like constraint. Thanks!
