Directional Light will Not work - only Movable-Static or Stationary will Not bake

Hey guys, I came across an issue with the Directional Lighting in my project. This issue seemed to have happen over night with out my knowledge, because it was fine the night before with no issues. Most likely not the case though.

The Problem - When I build the scene the Directional Light is set to either (Static or Stationary) and the environment is lit how I need it (before build) . After the build is complete all of the static/stationary light disappears and leaves behind a dark environment with no lighting, although a static/stationary Point or Spot light will bake just fine. But if the Directional Light is set to movable it works fine, I would rather not have to set it to movable though. FYI this is a night time scene

The light map resolution for the mesh in question is 256 at the moment, I’ve tried a range of resolutions from 64 - 2048 none have an impact. The inside of the mesh is fine (its a house) because of interior lighting but the outside and environment stay dark after build. The Scene is at Night

The Scene has

  • Directional light (set at 0.5 now, problem continues even if set to 20,000)
  • Sky light (barely visible set to 0.7 I think)
  • Lightmass Importance Vol (around entire scene)
  • Post Processing Vol
  • Reflection Captures

Also Light maps and Static Lighting are allowed in all settings

So I’m not completely sure what happened or what I may have changed. This problem first happened in Verizon 4.16.3 so I cloned the project to 4.17.1. The problem still exist so it must be the setting or the mesh, or somthing else I guess…

I hope someone may have an idea or know the answer for myself and anyone else that may come across this problem.

Thanks!!

I’m experiencing this as well. Did you ever discover a solution?
