After Cloning Project, Is it Safe To Delete Old Copy?

Is it safe to delete my old project after cloning it? I cloned my project to a new disk drive because the first one is running out of room. That being said, I’ve been using the second project for all new activity, but it seems like all the updates to the new project are also occurring in the first project and is taking up even more space.

Is it safe to delete the original copy? Or does the second project depend on the first?

I am using version 4.17

Cloning a project means it copies files to a new project and does not depend on the old project, so deleting it shouldn’t be a problem.
