How can i make launcher work?!

I downloaded the launcher and it shows on my desktop but when I try to run it nothing happens and it show the little blue mouse loading sign for a few moments and pops up as a backround app in task manager then disappears (says I have the newest updates for graphics card and I tried running as administrator etc… ) nothing seems to work…------------------
