Performance with 200% Screen Percentage

I’m just wondering if someone out there that knows more than I do could shed some light on an oddity that 200% screen percentage has.

Why is it that when you have a full scene and you set it to 200% screen percentage, you will get lowered performance; however playable. Then if you open up a next to empty project and set it to 200% screen percentage you will also still get very poor performance.

It is almost as if screen percentage is dictating fps largely independent of assets in the scene. I can have a scene with a couple million tris and heavy materials, and not get much worse performance at 200% than I would with an almost empty scene.

Is there anyone that knows why this may be?

That is totally expected. Rising screen percentage causes your pixel shader to be the bottleneck, and even an empty scene can show low framerates.
