Why are sprite materials within Blueprint tinting blue?

When I apply a material to a sprite within a blueprint it receives a blue tint, and although it can receive light it cannot totally darken.

In the first image there’s two railings, the first is within a blueprint and is tinting blue as described, and the second has the same material applied but is just a regular sprite dragged into the viewport. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks :smiley:

Got the solution! Go to:

Settings (Bar near the top of the editor) > World Settings > Lightmass > Lightmass Settings > Environment Intensity=0

After Dealing with this for about a month what a sigh of relief. Hopefully this will be useful to others.
