Particle effects and scalability settings

Hi everyone!
I’ve got a problem that’s driving me mad, and I wanted to ask here before spending more time on it

I’ve got a particle system that works fine on Epic. But if I downgrade the effects scalability settings, one of its particle emiters just doesn’t render.

So… is there any parameter to handle the scalability settings in the particle editor?

This helped me. I have integrated Quality Settings to my project and particle systems stop being visible. Now thanks to this, its visible.

I solved my issue unticking the “Apply Global Spawn Rate Scale” in the particle emitter, but I still would like to know if there is any chance to edit the relation between the particle systems and the scalabilitysettings

when you click on a particle emitter (the module that contains its name) you can see “detail mode” if its on “low” it shows on all scalability settings, but if its on “high” it wont be shown on any scalability settings lower than that.

I had everything in my particle with the detail mode on low, but I still couldn’t make it work.

You might want to show a video and/or images of the problem.
the more details we see, the easier its for us to pinpoint the issue. else its just guesswork wasting your and our time.

First of all, this is how the particle looks in Epic

I have the Detail Mode on Low. These are some settings I think that may be useful to show. Note that if I tick Apply Gobal Spawn Rate Scale, the particle works as desired in Low.

I know I can tweak some values to get the desired effect in Low, but doing so also modifies its behaviour in High.

So I have two questions here. Is there a way to have some specific values for every Detail Mode? And the other one (now more interesting for me), what does “Apply Global Spawn Rate Scale”? I couldn’t find anything about that tick…

I had a different issue that would fit under the same title as this question. One of my emitters totally disappears when Effects are set to Medium and I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out, the material for particles was using refraction, and that effect is disabled on Low and Medium levels by default:
