Root Motion Montage vs Animation Only

Hello guys,

I’m experiencing the following problem. I have a root motion cover animation. In the preview window the animation works. Testing it by showing the bones and processing root motion clearly shows the root moving. My animation blueprint’s root motion mode is set to “Root motion from everything”. What is weird is that if I create an animation montage from the same animation and play it in game the root moves and I get the desired root motion result. If I use the animation without wrapping it in an animation montage (this is the preferred approach in this case) the animation plays, but the root doesn’t move.

To summarize:
I have a root motion animation with the “Enable Root Motion” option enabled.
If I use it without wrapping it in a montage the root doesn’t move.
If I use it as a montage the root moves.

Same problem, does anyone help?

No. I suspect that there is some physics happening that stops my Character’s Capsule movement which is not happening when playing montages, but I couldn’t figure it out.
