Trying to fake softbody material.

I did the same from here, but unhappily it didnt work. Maybe someone did this and knows how to do it. Or can show me de wei to do this.

  • Distance Fields generation needs to be enabled in project settings.
  • Deformation Strength > 0

This isn’t enough to get it working for me. Can it not be used with skeletal meshes? What are other things that would prevent this from functioning?

From looking at the Mesh Distance Fields documentation:

Only supports Static Mesh, Instances Static Mesh, Foliage, and Landscape (Heightfield). Foliage must be enabled with Affect Distance Field Lighting from the Foliage Tool settings.

Anyone managed to use this on SkeletalMeshes?
