Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Movable actors don't recieve static shadows

I'm working in VR and so following all the guides I am using only static lighting. Just noticed though that my weapons don't seem to recieve ANY shadows whatsoever, as shown in this image of an SMG sitting in a dark corner.

How do I fix this?

A movable object can't receive static shadows, the only way around this is instead of using static lighting only set your lights to stationary, just the main light if its not necessary for all of them. That way static objects will receive static shadows and movable objects will receive dynamic shadows.

If using stationary lights still gives you problem after that then you may want to look into this solution https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/442185/gear-vr-dynamic-lighting-doesnt-work-at-all.html
