Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Suggestion: alt + click one folder to close all in world outliner.

Often I find myself working on Levels with large, complex file structures. It can be quite annoying when Unreal opens up all my folders in the world outliner, maybe this is a feature that people enjoy but I know for me and others It can be quite annoying.

I believe a good method for closing all folders at once would be to alt + click on the small triangles located to the left of a folder name that is used to open/close individual folders in the world outliner. This method would allow the existing functionality to stay (the fact that the world outliner opens up all your folders) while expanding to accommodate other users needs, most people wouldn't notice the change but the people who could benefit from this increased workflow would surely enjoy it.
