Lock-On Targeting System with flexibility
I've been working on a third person shooter, and was able to get my character to lock on to an enemy after conducting a line trace. In the system though, in order to avoid working on ticks, i basically have the system delay then loop while lock on is active. The problem I am running into though is trying to setup limited movement while locked on. Basically, the setup auto locks on when the player is aiming, and traces over an enemy. At that point what I would like to do is allow the player to aim within a limited range so the player could select different parts of the body to shoot at (ie: aim at the head, arms or legs). I would really appreciate any advice I could get on the matter. Thanks a bunch!!!
