Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Cant get to import an animation.

I dont know what im doing wrong.

I want to export an animation from Blender to UE4. I already have the skeletal mesh imported into UE, and i want to import just the animation.

So i export the whole fbx from blender included the animation (it is included automatically anyways) and i go to unreal engine.

I import the fbx selecting the proper skeleton and checking import animations.

But then UE imports the asset as another skeletal mesh, instead of importing an animation for the specified skeleton. I did this exact same thing in the past and i never had problems. Maybe i forgot something.

Is there any special option when importing animations that im missing??

Thanks in advance.

Product Version: UE 4.18
