PhAT Constraint "Snap To Bone" buggy

Situation:

  • You have two Bones Parent and Child with a constraint
  • The location of the constraint shows in the location of the Child bone
  • Move the constraint or rotate it,
  • The child bone will behave differently as expected
  • Use the “Snap To Bone” contextmenu on the constraint
  • The child bone will still behave in the pre-snap way
  • Now move or rotate the joint ever so slightly and then return it to the original position where “Snap” put it anyway
  • Now the bone behave correctly

The same corrective effective can be observed when the Physics Editor is closed and opened again

On the same note, the “Reset” contextmenu entry moves the constraint to the other end of the bone. I don’t know if that is by design or not because there is no explanation about most of the stuff for the new editor anyway, so in my eyes the “Reset” function is broken or useless and I just avoid it.

Thanks

It’s so wonderful when I google the issue, find a discussion, see that Epic interacted with only to discover that said interaction is “bad place, go there”.
