Static Mesh Actor has NULL StaticMesh property

I keep getting this warning, I have read the other post about this, but it does not help. My mesh has a static mesh, but it keeps coming out null after building, and still shows my mesh within the info panel after build. As you can see in pictures, before lighting build it has a material, and static mesh applied, and after the build, you can still see them applied, but the object in the world is black.

check the world outliner, there is a mesh-actor without a mesh. thats generally the only reason you’d get this error.

I had this issue previously, i reexported the mesh in blender and it seemed to solve the problem!

Can you post a picture of your output with the error and the object’s detail page from your map?

you arent looking at the world outliner. it has nothing to do with the meshes you can see, but a mesh-actor that you cant see. none of the images shows the world outliner.

As you can see in the pictures the mesh is front and center, has mesh and material, but once lighting builds it goes black, and still continues to hold the mesh and material after the build, but just becomes pure black

I will attempt this and see what happens.

I can upload a pic of the error, but there is no details to it. It doesn’t state which actors/meshs are causing the error, just states it. And the objects detail page is in the screen shot, is there something specific within the detail panel you want to see? I made sure to include the mesh and material assigned to it before, and after build

so what ur saying is, if one actor doesn’t have a mesh it brakes everything in the world, which I don’t find true, because my “ball” player would also be black

But I will test it

alright, so apparently this wasn’t causing my mesh’s to go black. I thought it was, not sure why they are pure black after lighting build, but I saw the one in the world outliner with no mesh that I removed and don’t get the error anymore, guess I’m going to have to find out why they are blacking out after build, but not before

if its black, your mesh probably doesnt have a lightmap.
